Bouyed by Positive Delhi Meetings, YSRC Now Expects a TDP-BJP Split

YSRC leaders said that Jagan was satisfied over the response from the centre for his Save Democracy campaign.

HYDERABAD:  Days after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP boss N Chandrababu Naidu began bracing himself for any possible 'break-up' with BJP by making efforts to woo minorities  to his party, the saffron party too has started sending indications that it has also started looking at other 'alternatives' to face any eventuality.  Strengthening this argument, the BJP central leadership is understood to be keen on keeping its  options open over the issue of joining hands with YSRC in the coming days. After winding up their three-day  visit to the national capital, aimed at exposing the TDP's act of inducting YSRC legislators into it, some of the YSRC leaders who accompanied Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy told Express that their boss was very much satisfied over the response he got from the Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Dharmendra Pradhan for  his 'Save Democracy' campaign.

"From our meetings with the Union ministers, we have understood that the BJP central leadership is not happy with the way the TDP government in AP accusing  the Centre of not coming to its rescue on the financial front. They are also unhappy with TDP for not giving due  credit to the BJP for Centralsponsored schemes being implemented in the state," a YSRC MLA told Express over phone.According to sources, during his meeting with the Union Finance Minister, Jagan said the AP government had diverted all funds allotted for the construction  of the new capital and it was also not giving due credit to BJP for Centre-sponsored schemes, Arun Jaitley replied that they had got a similar report from their party leaders in AP.

It is learnt that the Union ministers showed much  inquisitiveness when Jagan was making complaints against Naidu's rule in AP, to gather more information on the ground situation in the State. "After keenly observing the views of these three Union ministers, we have  understood that the Centre is not happy over the way the TDP government is time and again trying to attack it by saying that promises made during bifurcation  are not being fulfilled by the Narendra Modi government," another leader, who  was with Jagan, said.

AP Govt Attacks Centre

Hyderabad: Indicating that relations between allies TDP and BJP are further souring, the yellow party on Thursday  openly aired its unhappiness over the way Union Home Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Dharmendra Pradhan gave an audience to YSRC chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in New Delhi. Launching an  attack on BJP, two key colleagues of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his deputy K E Krishnamurthy and Finance Minister Yanamala  Ramakrishnudu, came down heavily on the Centre for allowing Jagan to distribute a book brought out by YSRC levelling corruption allegations against the TDP government. “It is not appropriate for Union ministers and Delhi leaders  to give an audience to Jagan, who is accused No. 1 in 12 cases relating to financial fraud. If leaders in the Central government encourage people like Jagan, this would send bad signals to people,” Ramakrishnudu charged. Joining the chorus, Deputy Chief Minister K E  Krishnamurthy wondered how the Union Ministers could meet “a man like Jagan, who is facing corruption charges.”
