BSNL to ensure better connectivity

VIJAYAWADA: The BSNL, Krishna District Telecom Circle will install additional cell towers to provide better connectivity to pilgrims during the Krishna Pushkarams.

General manager, Krishna District Telecom circle, A Purnachandra Rao, said the BSNL would install around 25 to 30 cell towers in the district during Krishna Pushkarams. Mobile towers (cell on wheels) would also be installed to meet the growing traffic, he said.

BSNL.jpgIn Vijayawada city alone, three additional cell towers will be installed in One Town area, Mahatma Gandhi Road and Gollapudi areas. They would also set up stalls and make available cell recharge coupons and SIM cards at all the Pushkar Nagars, he said. The BSNL will also offer 5G services to pilgrims. The customers will enjoy a minimum guarantee of 2 mbps bandwidth, he added.

Regarding Fibre to the Home (FTH) connections in the district, he said, around 732 connections were installed during this fiscal. He said the BSNL is buoyed up by the consumer patronage to its 5G Wifi hotspots in seven locations across the Vijayawada Telecom circle.
