HYDERABAD: The Telangana Medical Joint Action Committee submitted a representation to health minister C Laxma Reddy here on Tuesday with a list of the names of 237 doctors of Andhra Pradesh nativity who got posting in Telangana through alleged illegal means.
A tentative list allocating posts in Telangana government medical colleges and hospitals was issued on January 25. Telangana government doctors had earlier protested that doctors of AP nativity were given posting in Telangana.
A member of the JAC alleged that AP-origin doctors submitted fake Telangana nativity, medical-hardships, disability certificates to get posting here.
“Some of the doctor couples sought posting here claiming that their spouse works here.
Husband claims that his wife works in Telangana, and the wife claims that her husband works here. But neither husband nor wife have submitted supporting documents,” the JAC member said and added that around 130 doctors were given posting in Telangana without valid reason.
