Commission an Eyewash to Mislead Kapus: YSRC

HYDERABAD: Reiterating that TD government lacks sincerity in addressing the Kapu issue, YSRC alleged that the State BC Commission, set up ahead of the massive protest programme at Tuni, was only an eye wash.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said the Manjunath Commission set up by the government is just an eye wash. “The Commission is an effort to delay the inclusion of Kapus in BCs. No terms of reference were given to the Commission, no non-judicial members were appointed, and the duration is of three years, which can be extended indefinitely,” he said.

“The Chief Minister after talking to his own Kapu leaders tells the media that the issue would be solved in nine months which is a blatant lie,” Rambabu alleged.

The Commission chairman Justice Manjunath himself has expressed apprehensions, he said and added that the Chief Minister’s statement was only to buy time as the GO appointing the Commission speaks of three years term which can be extended.
