Hyderabad HC Relief to Another Batch of Vaidya Mitras

HYDERABAD:  The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday granted relief to another batch of Vaidya Mitras working with the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust directing the AP government to continue them in service and also not to take any coercive steps against them until further orders.

Justice P Naveen Rao was dealing with a batch of petitions filed by as many as 490 field staff of the Trust challenging a GO issued on Jan 20 to recruit fresh set of field staff and team leaders to work with NTR Vidaya Seva Trust. The field staff of the trust working in Kadapa, Vizag, Vizianagaram, Nellore and Guntur districts approached the HC stating that the decision of the government to take fresh recruitment by prescribing fresh qualification will ultimately resulted in terminating their services and the government has already identified more than 1000 of such staff to terminate them.

While granting the interim order, the judge adjourned the case to Feb 28.
