Araku Coffee Finds a Fan in Narendra Modi

VISAKHAPATNAM:  The rich taste of Araku Coffee has found a new fan in none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

The Prime Minister, along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, visited the Maritime Exhibition and IFR Village here on Saturday. While at the IFR Village, Naidu offered the PM a cup of coffee at the the Araku Coffee stall.

It is learnt that the PM, after tasting the coffee, found it yummy and lauded the efforts of the tribal farmers.

Later, Modi visited the Rural Khadi Craft stall. He observed the live demonstration of Ponduru khadi weaving at the stall and interacted with the weavers and inquired about their skills and revenues.

The stall has been set up by Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

Indian Navy Chief Admiral RK Dhowan and Chief of Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral Satish Soni were  present.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister visited Visakhapatnam Port and inspected various berths in the harbour.
