Jilted Nellore Lecturer Records Video Before She Commits Suicide

NELLORE: A 28-year-old woman assistant lecturer in DVS Engineering College at Maddurupadu in Kavali madnal in this district of Andhra Pradesh ended her life by hanging but not before video-recording why she was committing suicide in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to the police, the victim shut herself in her room and hanged herself, dejected that a man with whom she was in love had refused to marry her.

The video-clipping in which she has expressed her anguish is on the internet, creating a sensation.

In the video clip, she said she was leaving this world as she could not live without the man.

The man, M. Bhanu works in a jewellery store in Nellore. They were seeing each other fore over three years.

"I want to leave this world, away from your memories. I had the best moments with you and I cannot go on living without you," she said in the video.

Her sister Janaki said she was not aware of what was happening in Madhavi's mind. She had been off colour recent and appeared to be in a state of depression.

"I had a feeling that she had not recovered from the shock of our father's death on January 31 but I never thought that there was a man in her life. There were messages on her mobile phone and a video clipping explaining why she was ending her life. The messages revealed that she had spent up to Rs. 5 lakh on Bhanu and that she could not bear the very idea that he had used her and gave her the brush off saying that his parents were opposed to their marriage," she said.

The Kavali police have begun an investigation after registering a case based on a complaint by Madhavi's family.
