VIJAYAWADA: The Krishna district administration has released water into the canals for drinking water requirement of people living in villages along the canals.
Collector Babu A, in a statement here on Wednesday, directed all the revenue, panchayat, irrigation and police personnel to be alert and ensure that there is no misuse of water or any obstruction for flow of water.
Joint teams will be formed and there would be continuous vigil, he said and added that the staff should do patrolling at nights.
The collectore wanted the officials of rural water supply, panchayat, revenue, municipal and irrigation departments to ensure that all drinking water tanks are filled.
