Satavahana Varsity to Adopt Semester Method

KARIMNAGAR:  With a view to improve quality education, Satavahana University is all set to introduce Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) in the semester examinations for degree students.

The varsity has made semester exams mandatory for degree students from coming academic year.

Addressing degree college principals on Saturday, university registrar Komal Reddy said according to the UGC and state government directions, semester exams will be conducted for first year degree students, who will join the 2016-17 academic year.

The semester system is already being implemented for the PG students, he told.  Students can select core and optional subjects, whereas foundation courses is common to all the degree first year students.
