Subways at Level Crossings: Trains Cancelled, Rescheduled

VISAKHAPATNAM:  In view of construction of limited height subways in place of unmanned level crossings between Kotabommali-Tilaru section of Howrah-Chennai main line, the Railways will impose restrictions on traffic and power block on February 16, 18 and 21 from 6.15 am to 10.45 am. As a result, two trains have been cancelled and nine others rescheduled in Waltair division of East Coast Railway zone.

In a release, the Railway officials stated that they had cancelled the Palasa-Visakhapatnam passenger train (no.58525) scheduled to leave Palasa at 10 am as well as the Visakhapatnam-Gunupur passenger train (no.58506) scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam at 5.45 am, on February 16, 18 and 21. Similarly, the authorities have rescheduled the Howrah-Yesvantpur Express train (no.12863) leaving Howrah on February 15, 17 and 20, to reach Visakhapatnam on the next day. The train will run three and a half hours late to its scheduled departure at 8.35 pm. The Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express train (no.18463) leaving Bhubaneswar on February 16, 18 and 21, to reach Visakhapatnam the same day, will be postponed by one and a half hours to its scheduled departure at 5.30 am.

The Howrah-Vasco-de-gama Express train (no.18047) will depart from Howrah on February 15 and 20, to arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day. The train will be rescheduled by one and a half hours late to its schedule departure at 11.30 pm. The Bhagalpur-Yesvantpur Express train (no.12254) scheduled to leave Bhagalpur on February 17 and reach Visakhapatnam the next day, will run one and a half hours late to its scheduled departure at 1.30 pm. Further, the Tirupati-Puri Express train (no.17480) leaving Tirupati on February 15, 17 and 20 to arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day, will be delayed by two and a half hours to its scheduled departure at 10.35 am. Meanwhile, the Chennai-Puri Express train (no.22860) scheduled to leave Chennai on February 15 and reach Visakhapatnam the next day, will be rescheduled by two hours late to its scheduled departure at 4.25 pm. The Villupuram-Kharagpur Express train (no.22604) leaving Villupuram on February 17 and reaching Visakhapatnam the next day, will be delayed by two hours to its scheduled departure at 11.40 am. Similarly, the Villupuram-Purulia Express train (no.22606) leaving Villupuram on February 20 and reaching Visakhapatnam the next day, will run late by two hours to its scheduled departure at 11.40 am. The Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar Visakha Express train (no.17016) scheduled to leave Secunderabad on February 15, 17 and 20, will reach Visakhapatnam the next day. However, the train will be rescheduled by one hour late to its scheduled departure at 4.50 pm.
