Havaldar Ends Life on Railway Track

SRIKAKULAM: An Army Havaldar T Koteswara Rao of Sompeta committed suicide on a railway track here on Sunday. According to reports, Koteswara Rao, a Havaldar in Indian Army, came home on leave. Without even informing family members, he left the house in the morning and did not return.

According to the railway police, Koteswara Rao committed suicide by placing his head on the track when the goods train was approaching.

The government railway police registered a case and the body was sent for postmortem. However, it is not known why Koteswara Rao resorted to the extreme measure. Investigation is on.
