ACB Raid 16 Places Including Properties of Pudimadaka Marine Police Inspector

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths raided over the properties of Pudimadaka Marine Police station police inspector SK Hussain, here Wednesday. The raids are being conducted at about 16 places including Visakhapatnam city and its surroundings, the districts of Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari and also even Bangalore, where the police inspector's daughter reportedly resides.

According to sources, the ACB teams led by Visakhapatnam ACB DSP A Ramakrishna Prasad have seized movable and immovable properties worth over Rs 2 crore till Wednesday afternoon. The market worth of these properties, is estimated to be about Rs 8 crore. The list of seized properties includes a luxurious house at Chepaluppada and plots in Visakhapatnam city and district. Almost all the properties are reportedly in the names of his family members and relatives. The accused has worked in various stations in the city and rural limits, and is working at Marine police station at Pudimadaka since December 2014.

During his posting as the police inspector in the city limits, Hussain was charged with allegations over involvement in SIMS case, a multi-crore scam by an unauthorised finance institution.
