Chief Minister Naidu to Lay the Stone for Temporary Secretariat Today

The stage is all set for the foundation stone laying ceremony for the temporary Secretariat Building at Velagapudi village.

GUNTUR: The stage is all set for the foundation stone laying ceremony for the temporary Secretariat Building at Velagapudi village in Thullur mandal by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at 8.23 am on Wednesday.

Representatives of infrastructure major L&T, which bagged the contract for taking up construction works of the temporary Secretariat, supervised the ground leveling works on Tuesday. Officials from the district administration including the district collector Kantilal Dande, Joint Collector Ch Sreedhar and officials of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) supervised the arrangements.

Though, the government fixed a deadline to the contractors to complete and hand over the temporary Secretariat building by June, it is learnt that the CM will start working from the temporary Secretariat from May first week as the works of a couple of buildings are expected to be completed by then.Meanwhile, the district admin expects about 2,000 people to congregate for the foundation stone laying ceremony, where the CM is going to spend about 45 mins.
