VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, will celebrate its 35th formation day on February 18 with a slew of programmes. The celebrations will be started on Wednesday with the inauguration of an exhibition at Trishna grounds at Ukkunagaram which will be inaugurated by RINL chairman-cum-managing director P Madhusudan.
Friendly Cricket Match
The RINL has always been associated with the Media, both print and electronic, in its journey towards growth, since beginning. The RINL strongly believes that the media are partners in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant’s growth.
Continuing its association, the RINL is organising a friendly cricket match with local print and electronic media members as a part of its formation day celebrations on February 18 at Col CK Naidu Ukku Stadium.
Several other programmes including bicycle rally, mass tree plantation in the Steel township, medical camp and Swachh Bharat campaign in Islampeta are also planned.
On February 18 evening, Madhusudan at a programme will distribute the coveted Jawaharlal Nehru awards among the employees for outstanding performance in their respective work areas. Colourful cultural programme are also being organised.
The Corporate Communications Department of the RINL is putting up a photo exhibition and schools of Ukkunagaram are also participating in the exhibition by putting up their stalls showcasing their science models.
