Youth Must Adopt New Tech, Skills for Growth, Says Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that there was no greater happiness than to see a smile on the faces of the people. He underscored the importance of social service and lauded the services of the Swarna Bharat Trust.

Addressing a gathering at the Swarna Bharat Trust in Atkur her on Thursday, he said social service would give satisfaction to the soul.

CM lauded the Trust and appreciated its guiding principles of not seeking government aid and keeping away from politics.

He said India’s real strength lay in its youth force and wanted the youth to adopt new technology and skills to grow. He also underscored the need to promote skills and education.

Explaining the success of land pooling scheme, which had made the new capital city Amaravati possible, he said an idea can change the life and the world. “Today’s youth has several ideas. All it need is a platform to realize these ideas,” he said.

Naidu inaugurated a rural self-employment training centre and Kamineni Health Centre.

The CM also laid  foundation stone for Dr Abdul Kalam Skill Development Centre and Farmers Training Centre.

Earlier, Union ,minister of Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu, the man behind Swarna Bharath Trust, explained the genesis of the trust. He said the Trust was formed to realize the full potential of India and regain its past glory. Venkaiah Naidu explained about various initiatives of the Trust at Atkuru and how it proposed to help the youth in the region to stand on their own feet and empower the women. He said it is not just training, but also a helping hand to start their own units is also given at the Trust.

He said KL University and National Skill Development Council have come forward to give certificates to those undergoing training at different courses at the Trust.
