Best Practices to Transform AP as Knowledge Hub: Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his commitment to turn the state into a knowledge hub by adopting best practices in education sector.

Speaking after inaugurating Dr KKR’s Happy Valley School at Tadepalli in Agiripalli mandal in Krishna district on Saturday, Naidu felt proud over the state producing a slew of internationally acclaimed doctors and engineers of eminence. Asserting that the state has become synonymous to knowledge, the chief minister assured to give more emphasis to education so as to encourage students to come up with innovative ideas.

Describing students as a national asset, he hoped that India will emerge as a strong nation due to the youth power.

Stating that the government was taking all measures to strengthen the government schools, he said every household in the state will be provided with fiber optic connectivity along with Internet facility by June this year and wanted the students as well as the general public to make use of the technology.

Congratulating the management of KKR group for setting up the Happy Valley School, he said a good environment will go a long way in producing great minds. He wanted the management and the students to take a lead in promoting greenery as this will help reduce the temperature by at least 5 degrees. Impressed by the architectural grandeur of the institution, he sought the school management’s help in the construction of Amaravati city.

Speaking on the occasion, KKR’s Gowtham School chairman Kosaraju Koteswara Rao said that over 8,000 old students of the school are settled in good positions and added that 1,530 students have secured IIIT ranks so far.

Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Kamineni Srinivas, Eluru MP Maganti Babu, collector Babu A, former MLA M Venkateswara Rao, KL University’s Koneru Sathyanarayana, Sri Chaitanya educational institutes chairman BS Rao and others were present.
