Andhra Government Forms Panel to Set Up Private Universities

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government, after having brought in the AP Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2015 to facilitate global universities to set up their centres in the State, has now formed a five-member expert committee to select the institutions interested in setting up branches in AP.

According to a GO issued here, the Indian School of Business (ISB) founding dean Pramath Raj Sinha will head the panel. While selecting a particular institution  for setting up their branches in the State, the panel will look into the financial soundness and assets of the sponsoring body and its ability to set up the infrastructure of the proposed university.
