'Complete Kanaka Durga Flyover Works by March 25'

VIJAYAWADA: Collector Babu A directed the officials concerned to complete the works pertaining to piles of bridge of Kanaka Durga Flyover by March 25.

Inspecting the ongoing works at the flyover and at the casting yard here on Sunday, the Collector wanted the six lane flyover bridge brought operational before the commencement of Krishna Pushkarams.  He said to complete the works at the earliest, they have brought heavy machinery from Delhi and wanted the contractors and engineers at the site to use the machinery optimally. He said of the 337 piles of the bridge only 160 have been completed so far and suggested to the officials to take up works of PVP subway, casting and other works simultaneously and complete them in a time bound manner.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the delay in Ryves canal area works, he said 200 skilled welding workers are available in Machilipatnam and suggested to the officials to utilise their services.
