GSIB Announces Admissions to MBA Programmes

VISAKHAPATNAM: Admissions are open to the MBA (International Business), MBA (Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management), MBA (International Banking and Finance) and also postgraduate diploma in Business Analytics (with IBM) programmes, at GITAM School of International Business (GSIB) in GITAM University here. The last date for submission of applications for these programmes is March 21.

Students are required to appear for group discussions and personal interviews on March 26, based on their score in CAT/MAT/IIFT-Scores/GMAT/ and in the absence of these scores, students should clear the GITAM Eligibility Test (GET-2016) on March 26, followed by group discussion and personal interview. More information can be had from M Subramanyam at 94908 86714 or through the university website ‘www.gsib.org’.In a release, GSIB director Prof VK Kumar said that the MBA programmes in International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Banking and Finance, and also postgraduate diploma in Business Analytics are gaining importance in the country. Further, the school offers postgraduate programme in Business Analytics jointly with the IBM which has great demand in industry. This year, the GSIB has placed almost all students. The highest salary is Rs 11.45 lakh and the average is Rs 5.45 lakh.

“The GSIB has an international immersion programme in which students would have the opportunity to go on industrial study tour for about 10-15 days, and go out of India to study in our partner institutions in France - Burgundy School of Business and International University of Paris. Students would get the opportunity without being required to pay additionally at these B-Schools in France,” the GSIB director added. He also informed that at present, six students from the GSIB are pursuing several courses at Burgundy School of Business.
