Two Burglars Nabbed, Gold Recovered

GUNTUR: The Guntur CCS Police arrested two burglars and recovered as many as three gold chains and two silver articles from them.

According to Guntur Urban CCS Additional SP P Tirupal, the accused L Santosh Kumar and V Ayyappa, natives of Kanigiri town in Prakasam district are carpenters by profession and are working under a mason Nani in Mangalagiri town of Guntur city for some time.

The duo took the two-wheeler of Nani on some pretext and snatched a chain of a woman. Later, Santosh Kumar targeted the residence of his owner in Guntur city and burgled two more gold chains and two silver articles after breaking open the doors. The house owner had left for a relative’s marriage when Santosh stole the articles.

Based on the two complaints, the CCS police launched an investigation and arrested the duo in Gandhi Nagar on Sunday.
