Trader murdered by Maoists in Visakhapatnam

The Maoists allegedly killed a tribal in the agency area of Munchinput mandal in Visakhapatnam district, after branding him as a police informer.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Maoists allegedly killed a tribal in the agency area of Munchinput mandal in Visakhapatnam district, after branding him as a police informer in the wee hours on Wednesday. The victim Deenabandu, is a resident and trader of Bujuputtu village of Munchinput mandal.

This is the second such incident in the last three days in Andhra Pradesh. On Sunday, a trader P Pullaiah was gunned down by the Maoists at Alligudem village in Chintoor mandal of agency area, of East
Godavari district.

According to sources, Deenabandu is a shopkeeper at Bujuputtu village. Sources said that a group of Maoists entered the village and murdered him using knives in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Sub-Inspector of Munchinput Arun Kiran said that they have received information about the murder but no complaint was lodged yet. The cops are enquiring about the incident.
