VIJAYAWADA: In a rather bizarre way of settling scores, Nandyal municipal vice-chairman posted a porn clip on the official Whatspp group of the TDP to embarrass his boss municipal chairperson D Sulochana.

According to sources, the members of the group including the chairperson "are shocked". Several members of the group are women and many said they felt offended by the video.

Gangisetty Vijaya Kumar was miffed with his boss as she is a loyalist of TDP district president Silpa Chakrapani Reddy.

Vijaya Kumar belongs to the faction that supports Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagireddy and had recently joined the TDP along with his daughter Akhila Priya after leaving the YSRC.

Chakrapani Reddy had opposed admitting Nagireddy into the party. But Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu overrode Reddy's opinion and ever since, Bhuma has become an eye-sore to him.

Political embers have ever since been smoldering and on Wednesday, Bhuma's man Vijaya Kumar settled on a rather uncanny way of offending Chakrapani Reddy's protege Sulochna. The immediate trigger for posting the clip allegedly is Silpa's opposition to Naidu's move to take Nagireddy into the state cabinet.

Enraged over the despicable act, woman councillors demanded stern action against him and threatened to take the issue to the notice of the party high command. Some even demanded that he be asked to step down for his brazen display of misogyny.

A fuming Sulochana said:"It is very embarrassing for all women members. If anyone of them demands that the issue be discussed in the next council meeting, I will have to comply with them."  If Vijaya Kumar apologises for his "shameless" act, she may consider overlooking his indiscretion.

Vijaya Kumar, however, denies posting the clip. "I did not do it. Someone used my Whatsapp account and posted the clip," he said. Nandyal Deputy Superintendent of Police Y Harinath Reddy told media persons that they had registered a case under the provisions of the IT Act and Indian Penal Code. He chose not to comment on whether the accused would be arrested.
