VISAKHAPATNAM: The State government now wants schoolchildren to take a “thanksgiving pledge” every day to acknowledge with grateful hearts the many favours of not only the Almighty but also family, friends, society, nature and last but not the least, the government too! Official sources said the motto behind launching the pledge is to promote “ethical values” among children.
The sources said the government, most likely after Pongal holidays, will direct school managements to ensure that the pledge is taken everyday.
