VIJAYAWADA: The police unravelled an organised gang of house-breakers, who uses domestic helps to commit crimes. This has come to light during the investigation of a house-break in Guru Nanak Nagar.

A woman living in the Vaddera Basti of Gunadala has built a network of domestic helps. She has two sons, who have built a group of house breakers. Among the gang members are engineering students.

As part of the investigation, the police took two persons into custody on the basis of the CCTV footage of the house break. During questioning, the duo admitted that they had committed several thefts and stole huge quantity of gold.

They also revealed that the gold was sold to as many as 80 gold traders in One Town area of the city. They also revealed that the domestic helps inform the lady don, who in turn delegates the job of house-break to her sons.

Crime Police sources also revealed on condition of anonymity that gold was recovered from the house of the lady don. CCS police are now in the process of recovering the stolen gold.
