‘Cyber security will paly a major role’

Government’s IT advisor JA Chowdary said that cyber security would play a vital role in the near future and the users of information technology must be aware of cyber security issues.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Government’s IT advisor JA Chowdary said that cyber security would play a vital role in the near future and the users of information technology must be aware of cyber security issues. With the state and Central governments giving the highest priority to the e-Governance, cyber crimes will be the order of the day.

The government should also take up cyber security measures with equal priority, Chowdary said.
Participating in the discussion on ‘Cyber security policy for future, digital connectivity to the last mile’ in the conference on e-Governance, Chowdary said when specific information is provided online, there would be good chances of virus, hacking and piracy occurring and preventive measures are necessary to arrest the issues , said Chowdary.
