Pedestrian looted of cash, gold

VISAKHAPATNAM: A three-member gang looted cash and valuables from a biker threatening him at the Telugu Talli flyover in the wee hours of Monday.

According to IV Town Inspector Tirumala Rao, one Anand Kumar from Akkayapalem returned to Vizag by train. After noticing that his bike ran out of fuel, he was taking his bike home on foot. Three miscreants, reportedly on a Yamaha bike, approached him and said that they would help him.

After reaching the flyover-end, the trio threatened him and fled away with Rs 1,800 and a gold ring worth Rs 20,000, police said. The incident occurred at around 1.45 am on Monday and the victim rushed to the IV Town PS immediately to lodge a complaint. A similar incident was reported from the Airport police station limits.
