Three Andhra men arrested for jewellery heist, ornaments seized

Three miscreants were arrested and recovered 28 tolas of gold ornaments, announced  superintendent of police J.Brahma Reddy here on Friday.

SRIKAKULAM: Three miscreants were arrested and recovered 28 tolas of gold ornaments, announced  superintendent of police J.Brahma Reddy here on Friday.

The ornaments were looted from Srikakulam, Pondur, Etcherla and Kotabommali. Addressing newsmen here on Friday, the SP said the accused had been identified as Alupana Amar (21) and Basava Shanmukha Rao, both residents of Kuppili village of Etcherla mandal and Gorisetti Praveen of Kancharapalem in Visakhapatnam. 

The trio had criminal records and involved in robbery cases too, said the SP. They committed 11 offences. With the help of CC camera footage police detained Amar and later detained two other members based on Amar’s information.
