Suspecting fidelity, Army man attempts to kill wife, two children in Andhra Pradesh

Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, an army man on Thursday evening attacked his wife along with his two children with a sharp knife.

SRIKAKULAM: Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, an Army man on Thursday evening attacked his wife along with his two children with a sharp knife. The doctors declared that condition of the woman was critical, while the two children are stable. 

The accused has been identified as Golluru Gangadhara Rao while the victims are G Chandrika (35), G Yojana (13), G Murali (10), natives of Patrunivalasa village of Nandigam mandal. 

According to the police and villagers, the accused had shifted his family to his native village from nearby Kasibugga on Thursday. Having intension to eliminate his wife, the Army man attacked them with a sharp knife at his home and injured Chandrika on head and limbs. She collapsed on the ground in a pool of blood.

He later attacked both his children in which Yojana lost her two fingers besides receiving severe wounds. Murali also sustained severe injuries. Gangadhara Rao after committing the crime fled the spot.

The locals rushed the victims to the Palasa hospital while the doctors referred them to RIMS for better treatment. However, the doctors said the condition of Chandrika was critical while the children were out of danger.

A case has been registered in Nandigam police station.
