TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to cancel issuing VIP morning break darshan tickets to VIPs, and officers and all other officials and political fraternity except protocol VIPs during Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The decision will be effective from April 7 to June 16.
Keeping in view the heavy flow of pilgrims during the ensuing summer vacation from April onwards and to enable more number of common pilgrims to have darshan, TTD is set to bring some changes in VIP break darshan.
Later speaking to mediapersons at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Monday, EO Dr. D Sambasiva Rao said the changes in VIP darshan will last for 10 weeks starting from April 7 onwards.
Elaborating the changes the EO said, “During week days viz. Monday to Thursday, there will be no differentiation in darshan to List 2 and List 3.
However, during weekends, only protocol VIPs will be allowed for darshan and no recommendation letter will be entertained," he added. He also hinted that this is the first step, to cancel the recently introduced List-1, List-2 and List-3 system.
