Seeking more time for G-II exams, students protest in Visakhapatnam

Unemployed youth and some students from Andhra University climbed up a water tank at the AU out-gate and staged a protest.

VISAKHAPATNAM:  Unemployed youth and some students from Andhra University climbed up a water tank at the AU out-gate and staged a protest demanding extension on the time limit for the preparation of the Group-II examinations, on Friday.


According to sources, the protestors carried flexis and demanded extension of 40 days time between the prelims and mains of the Group-II examination to three months. 


The students alleged that the 40 days are not at all sufficient for the preparation. The agitators climbed up the water tank at around 4.30 pm and staged a protest for around two hours. Police who reached the spot convinced them to come down.
