VISAKHAPATNAM: As the TDP Mahanadu is on the threshold, the party leaders are busy searching for suitable accommodations for the VIP leaders and other dignitaries who are expected to participate in the event scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29 in Vizag.

As the Mahanadu coincides with wedding days, it has become difficult to get required number of rooms. The accommodation committee members are now booking hotel rooms through off and online.
In and around Visakhapatnam, nearly 500  lodges, hotels and restaurants are available along with another 1,000 service apartments. All these put together will have nearly 6,500 to 7,500 rooms. Besides, another 1,000 rooms are available in various star hotels of the city.

The accommodation committee members are expecting nearly 32,000 VIP leaders for the party’s annual meeting. Party officially sends invitations to 31,000 delegates across the two Telugu states. “As per the availability of rooms, we are trying our best. For all VVIPs, we are booking star hotel rooms and government, private guest houses and for others, we are approaching private educational institutions,” said a leader.

As the Mahanadu dates coincide with wedding dates, many families are searching for venues in and around Vizag. They are booking kalyana mandaps, lodges and hotel rooms for their relatives in advance. Given the situation, there is high demand for accommodation facility in the GVMC limits particularly on May 27, 28 and 29.
