Collector felicitates ace shuttler Srikanth Kidambi

GUNTUR: AT a felicitation function held in his honour, Srikanth Kidambi said that he will win laurels for the State by winning more titles in the upcoming badminton tournaments. District Collector K Sasidhar felicitated Srikanth for his stupendous performance in Denmark and French Super World Series titles at the Collectorate here on Friday.

Srikanth said that he would take part in the 31st National Sub- Junior Badminton Tournament to be held at Tenali from December 2 to 6 to promote the sport. The Collector exhorted the youth to take inspiration from Srikanth Kidambi.

He promised to allot a house site and other facilities as announced by the State government. Guntur District Badminton Association president R Ranga Rao said Srikanth Kidambi is in the zone of his own after winning four world super series titles within a span five months and reaching world number 2 position. He said ace shuttler Srikanth Kidambi has not only grown in stature, but his perspective too has changed, after winning four super series titles.
