VISAKHAPATNAM: Even as the depression over northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast have weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area on Friday, IMD  warned isolated moderate rain in coastal AP and Rayalaseema in the next 24 hours. 

On Friday, 3 cm rain was recorded in Itcchapuram in Srikakulam district, 2 cm at Sompeta and Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram district. With heavy rains in the last two days, many agricultural fields have got inundated. 
 “Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema in the next 24 hours,” said an IMD official.
