VISAKHAPATNAM: A 58-year-old man who had deposited in AgriGold died of cardiac arrest while standing in queue for the ongoing bond verification programme on the premises of Bheemili Police Station on Saturday.The deceased has been identified as Jeeru Polaiah, a resident of Bheemili. According to sources, Polaiah deposited `5,000 in the company in his daughter’s name in 2003. 

Polaiah, stood in queue for the physical verification and registration of details to claim refund around 9:30 am.After standing for nearly two and a half hours, he suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed, dying on the spot, sources said.   After registering a case, police shifted the body to King George Hospital (KGH) for post-mortem. This is the second instance of an AgriGold depositor in the state dying after the physical verification of the duped depositors’ commenced.
