GUNTUR: Students of Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CHIPS) with the coordination of National Service Commission organised an awareness rally to sensitise people on the use of individual toilets and maintain hygiene, at Obulnaidupalem village on Saturday.
College principal Suryadevara Vidhyadhar in a statement here on Saturday said students of Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and school students from Obulnaidupalem village in coordination with village panchayat took out a rally by holding placards and raising slogans against open defecation in the village.
The students sensitised the villagers on the use of individual toilets and keeping their surroundings clean. College SSS member J Venkateswara Rao, village school headmaster M Krishna Rao and MPTC Sumalatha Chandramouli also participated in the rally.
