‘Harassed’ cobbler attempts suicide 

Unable to bear the harassment of a financier, a cobbler allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at the Collectorate here on Thursday.

ONGOLE: Unable to bear the harassment of a financier, a cobbler allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at the Collectorate here on Thursday.  According to the police, K Moshe (30) who belongs to China Obinenipalli in Bestavaripeta mandal, migrated to Ongole three years ago and is living in NTR Colony. He obtained loan from a local financier. It was alleged that the financier was harassing him though he was paying loan installments promptly. 

He visited the Collectorate to make a representation to the district officials about the harassment by financier. When he was asked to come on Monday to make the representation during Meekosam programme, Moshe who carried pesticide in a tin, consumed it. He was immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital. The matter was informed to Two Town police.
