Unable to clear debts, Andhra Pradesh man kills self

VISAKHAPATNAM: A 29-year-old person committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, allegedly unable to handle pressure from lender to clear loans, at his residence in Kancharapalem on Friday. He had taken the extreme step after taking selfie video and sharing it with his friends and family.


The deceased has been identified as P Ramu (29), a wholesale cloth merchant and a resident of Thota Veedhi in Kancharapalem police station limits. According to sources, Ramu, who is a native of Sarbujjili area of Srikakulam district, had shifted to Visakhapatnam 15 years ago.
