CHITTOOR: Two cousins were brutally murdered by the father of a woman who was allegedly sexually abused and exploited by the duo. The woman’s father after getting the victims drunk slit their throats and later chopped off their testicles, police said.

The gruesome incident, which took place at Chenna Samudram village in Nayani Cheruvu panchayat in Chittoor rural mandal late on Saturday night, came to light on Sunday after the accused, identified as 54-year-old Kesavulu, surrendered before the police.

According to the police, the victims were P Sekhar (40) and his distant cousin P Lakshmipathi (55), residents of the same village. Sekhar was a driver at the Palamaneru RTC bus depot. On Saturday night, Kesavulu invited the duo for a party. Following this, Sekhar and Lakshmipathi joined Kesavulu.

“Kesavulu who hatched a plan to eliminate them did not consume much liquor while he encouraged the duo to have excess alcohol. Once they were dead drunk, Kesavulu attacked them with a sickle and slit their throats,’’ the police said.

Kesavulu later dragged them to the nearby sugarcane fields and slit their testicles, police said adding that the accused on Sunday went to the local revenue office and made a clean breast of his crime to the officials. On the directions of the officials, Kesavulu later surrendered before the Chittoor taluk police. Kesavulu claimed he had warned the duo not to abuse his daughter but they did not listen.
