VIJAYAWADA: Alleging that YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy was degrading officials in the State, several ministers warned that he would have to be ready to face the wrath of the people.
Leading from the front was IT Minister Nara Lokesh, who took to Twitter, to launch a broadside against Jagan and his party with hashtag #Jagannatakam.
Describing the YSRC chief as Jagan Modi Reddy, Lokesh (tweeting in Telugu) said that to suppress the truth Reddy refused investigation by State police as ‘all his drama behind the rooster-knife attack would be exposed’. “He, therefore, prefers Modi Bureau of Investigation to put the blame on TDP,” Lokesh said.
Remarking that Reddy tried to hit two birds with one shot - foiling Fintech event in Visakhapatnam and to get public sympathy - out of the attack on him, Lokesh said that the leader of opposition made it a habit to create some disturbance whenever the State government organised a prestigious event.
In another tweet, he said: “Unable to digest the fact that he is going lose in the coming elections, Reddy, resorted to the new drama.” “Of course, there is no wonder that a person like Reddy who eyed Chief Minister’s post even before the funeral of his late father, would enact any drama for the CM’s chair,” he said.
Human Resource Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the YSRC chief committed self-goal in the whole episode. Intending to embarrass the government, he ended up making a self-goal.
Agriculture Minister SM Reddy, Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy, Industries Minister N Amarnath Reddy and TDP leaders blasted the YSRC for blaming the State government for the attack on Jagan to get political mileage.
