VISAKHAPATNAM: The BJP stepped up its campaign against the TDP government on AgriGold issue. It has set a 30-day deadline for the government to solve the issue and threatened to launch an indefinite hunger strike.

Presiding over a meeting here on Saturday to mark the end of week-long relay hunger strikes across the State, BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana said if the government failed to render justice to the AgriGold victims, the BJP would launch an indefinite hunger strike.

Lakshminarayana and other leaders accused CM N Chandrababu Naidu of hatching a conspiracy to divert the AgriGold assets by deceiving both the owners of the firm and depositors. Lakshminarayana also accused the government of not providing a detailed report to the Centre on the cyclone damage in Srikakulam.
