RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM : The  Andhra Pradesh Regional Transport Corportation (APSRTC) will operate 60 buses for tours to temples in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala from Rajamahendravaram depot from November 8, C Ravikumar, Corporation’s regional manager, said.

All buses will have a seating capacity of 36 to 38, he said, adding that the move was taken due to the ongoing holy month of Kartika.

The charge for the four-day tour package, in which the buses will cover Vijayawada and Sabarimala, will be `3,800; `4,050 for the five-day package and `4,650 for the seven-day package, in which the tourists will visit Kanipakam, Sabarimala, Srisailam, Tirupati, Vijayawada and other places.

Apart from this, the RTC is also providing special trips to the above mentioned places on hiring basis that are categorised under five packages, cost of which vary between `1,35,400 and `2,16,800. “`49 is the per kilometre fare for super luxury buses and `52 for ultra luxury buses,” regional depot manager Peddi Raju said, and claimed that 90 per cent of the booking was completed. “These tours will cover temples in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.”
