VIJAYAWADA: COVID-19 count in Andhra Pradesh shot up to 3,676 with another 105 new cases reported in the last 24 hours ending 9 am on Monday. The toll increased to 64 with two more casualties reported in Kurnool district.According to the media bulletin issued by the State Command Control Room on Monday morning, a total of 10,567 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and 76 people tested positive.
One more foreign-returned tested positive and another 28 positive cases reported among those who returned from other States. Among the 76 cases reported in the State, eight — all from Nellore district — were linked to Koyembedu market in Chennai. A 12-year-old girl and three of her family members, who returned to Chittoor district from Mumbai, tested positive for COVID-19.
In all, seven new cases were reported in the district, of which four are from Puttur, one each from Srikalahasti, Nindra and KVB Puram
With five more new cases, Prakasam district Covid-19 tally increased to 92.In all, 64 people were discharged in the last 24 hours after their recovery. The total number of discharged in the State now stands at 2,366.
