NEW DELHI: Accusing JD(S) leaders of indulging in land grabbing in Karnataka, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said he was "seriously" thinking of taking back the land and distributing it among the poor people.
"...our party had taken a decision to give advertisements in all India newspapers about the land scam in Mysore district and within three-four days we are going to publish Hassan affairs (cases of land grabbing there)," Yeddyurappa told reporters here.
He said this when his reaction was sought on advertisements published by BJP in newspapers alleging land grabbing during the tenue of JD(S) leaders H D Devegowda and H D Kumaraswamy as Karnataka chief ministers.
"I am going to visit that spot in Hassan and I am thinking of taking back the land and distributing it among the SC & ST people there," he said.
Yeddyurappa, however, said he has not discussed these issues with the BJP leaders here.
Asked if would look into the cases of alleged land grabbing by other leaders too, he said, "About 81 acres, I am seriously thinking of taking it back and distributing to the poor people".
