UDUPI: Noted singer KJ Yesudas celebrated his 70th birthday at Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple in Udupi district with ‘Sangeetharchana’ (classical devotional songs), along with 70 Malayalam singers before goddess Mookambika on Sunday.

The Sangeetharchana included ‘Pancharatna gayana’ of Thyagaraja’s poems.

Yesudas has been visiting the temple on his birthday for several years.

He also took part in the Vidyarambha function.
