BANGALORE: Kannada film actor/director Harish Raj, is in news again. He has filed a police complaint against Murali, the producer of 'Gun' film in High Grounds police station. Raj, a resident of Vasanthanagar has alleged that the producer has threatened him and his family members with dire consequences.

He told in the complaint that Murali had come near his house and abused him and he decided to file complaint against the producer after he was instructed by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) president Basant Kumar Patil. Raj has stated that he initially went to Patil and discussed about the threat to his life by the producer. On safety grounds Patil is said to have advised Raj to file a police complaint. The complaint states that Murali holds Raj responsible the film's flop and wants Raj to clear the debts taken for the making of the movie. However, the actor said he was unaware that the producer had made debts to produce the movie. Allegedly, the threatening is happening since last June.

On interrogation, police found that Murali had raised loans from financers on the basis of his residential property. Murali told the police that Raj had agreed to pay halfofthe money invested on the movie. But now was avoiding him. "He is not responding to my calls. It was true that I went in search of Raj to his house, but the threatening allegations are all false," Murali said.

Raj has been in controversies most of the time. In March, he had attempted suicide from jumping from Santosh Theatre when the 'Gun' movie was being taken off from the theatre. He was also booked by the Upparpet police for attacking a police constable Satish when he tried to stop the actor from stabbing himself atop Santosh theatre. Satish sustained minor injuries.
