CM dismissive of KJP rally

Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday said he did not wish to give much importance to the “Vidhanasoudha chalo” oranised by Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) demanding continuation of schemes launched by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

The KJP has released advertisement in local media on Tuesday about the event to be held on Wednesday seeking that the government protect interests of beneficiaries of various schemes, including Bhagyalakshmi. Yeddyurappa had recently threatened to undertake the rally if the government neglected schemes introduced when he was the chief minister.

On seeking resignation of chairmen to various boards and corporations, he said the party was asking those who have completed three years in office to put in their papers. “We are appointing new chairmen to those boards and corporations soon,” he said.

On induction of two more ministers into the Cabinet following resignation of Infrastructure Minister Suresh Vallapure and dropping of Co-operation Minister B J Puttaswamy, he said the party, it will be done in consultation with the party high command.
