Even as television channels were breaking the news of Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Jagadish Shettar of succeeding incumbent CM D V Sadananda Gowda, the former was cool and composed.
Though Shettar said he was waiting for an official announcement from “my party bosses”, he told Express that his inner conscience was telling him that one day he will rise up to be the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Having been a loyal BJP soldier, the four-time legislator from Hubli Rural Constituency, has always been nursing the ambition of occupying CM’s post.
