Defeat dogs Rahul, says Chief Minister

Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Sunday that the downfall of the Congress is imminent and it has happened in all the states where Rahul Gandhi toured.

“Uttar Pradesh is the most recent example of the Congress debacle. The same story will be repeated in the state,” he quipped.

He described Rahul Gandhi’s statements on Karnataka government as immature.

“When the UPA-led Central government is riddled with corruption, how can he comment on a state that is well administered?” Gowda asked.

The Chief Minister said that the Congress should at first resolve issues related to corruption and then comment on others.

On supply of coal for state thermal projects Gowda said: “Power Minister Shobha Karandlaje and I have been promised by Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde that separate coal blocks will be provided during 2012-13 or 2013-14.”
