Poojary lambasts Hazare

Former Union minister B Janardhan Poojary criticised activist Anna Hazare and his team for not raising their voice against corruption in the BJP-led state government.

Team Anna should also look at corruption in the states, he added.

The state government aims to weaken constitutional organisations such as the Lokayukta, he added.

Poojary, while ruling out the opposition party’s failure in fighting for the protection of constitutional values, shifted its onus on the government.

He said the government has failed to protect the media from attacks as well as take action those guilty of attacking members of the fourth estate.

On charges of illegal mining against former chief ministers S M Krishna and Dharam Singh, Poojary said they only acted on the orders of NDA government.
