DVS says rumours of his ouster perennial

Dismissing speculation over a change of guard in the state government, CM D V Sadananda Gowda expressed confidence at remaining CM until the BJP ruling dispensation completes its full term.

At an event to release the BJP government’s four years’ achievement card titled ‘Four years of all-embracing performance’, he said that rumours over his ouster were there ever since he assumed office and would continue in the future as well.

The statement is significant over his replacement by Minister Jagadish Shettar.

Gowda said that the government has made significant achievements in the last four years.

However, not a single mention was made of his predecessor, B S Yeddyurappa, with whom he is in a running feud. In an oblique reference to the ongoing dissidence within the BJP, he said: “Such confusions have not come in the way of governance.”
